Dr. Park: From Theology to Toothaches, Dodger-loving Dentist

Dr. Park’s life journey boasts a fascinating blend of faith, art, and science. In 2000, at the tender age of 19, he crossed the ocean to the States, his dreams as broad as the horizon. Theology and graphic design first captured his mind, but their colors soon faded compared to the intricate dance of molecules in biochemistry. This scientific revelation paved the path to healthcare, ultimately leading him to dentistry – a career that would reshape smiles and lives.

Loma Linda University School of Dentistry witnessed Dr. Park’s graduation in 2012, and for over a decade, he sculpted healthy smiles through general dentistry. But his appetite for experience was insatiable. He honed his skills at various dental surgery centers, including Loma Linda’s own Special Care facility, even taking on the mantle of an Associate Professor, teaching anesthesiology residents the art of pain-free procedures.

From delicate pediatric work to caring for special needs patients and medically fragile seniors, Dr. Park navigated a vast dental landscape. However, his heart truly ached for the transformative power of implant surgeries and full-mouth rehabilitation. Witnessing the radiant smiles bloom on faces that had long forgotten their full potential – that was the symphony that truly moved him.

But Dr. Park isn’t all drills and sutures. When the workday ends, the family takes center stage. He cherishes every moment with his loved ones, his heart a haven for unwavering devotion. And then, to unwind amidst the laughter and chatter, there’s the roar of the crowd, the crack of the bat, the thrill of watching his beloved Dodgers conquer the field.
