A CBCT scan can help Dr. Park assess damage to neighboring teeth and the amount of bone around the impacted tooth. This information is used by Dr. Park determine the cause of the impaction and provide the best treatment plan.

Generally, the older a patient is, the less likely canine teeth will be to erupt on their own.

Is there any way to avoid serious issues?

Braces and other orthodontic treatments may be an option that Dr. Park recommends to create space for the canine teeth to erupt and then guide them into place.
